## Position Description
Introduction:
The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Missile Systems Developer and Analyst.
Job
Summary: Develop medium and high fidelity Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) simulations for both Aegis BMD and Standard Missile-3 (SM-3). Employ simulations in systems analysis across missile lifecycle.
Duties :
1. Develop Aegis BMD and SM-3 simulations to support system analysis. This includes both software design and implementation of algorithms in the context of a larger simulation framework. Perform testing and verification of developed software. Implement pre- and post- processing tools. (60%)
2. Perform analysis of Aegis BMD and SM-3 in support of requirements definition, system design reviews, flight tests, and fleet deployment. Potential analysis efforts include missile signal processing, tracking, discrimination, and raids. (30%)
3. Deliver formal presentations to sponsors and design agents to communicate proposed concepts, solutions and analyses results. Produce documentation to capture all relevant missile engineering tasks including technical recommendations. Document software users guides, software development plans, etc.(10%)

## Qualifications
Required Qualifications: BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Experience in simulation development and object-oriented programming. Ability to work closely with others in a team environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with C+
and/or Matlab programming.

Qualifications: MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field. Dual major with Computer Science and Engineering. Experience in Aegis BMD and SM-3. Software configuration management and linux grid computing experience. Proficient in C+
and Matlab programming.
Special Working Conditions__: Occasional travel to Dahlgren Va., and contractor sites in Moorestown NJ and Tucson AZ.
Security: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
