TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a Lab Technician for one of our clients in Laurel , MD.
Job Description:
The person will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of an ultra-high vacuum system coupled to reflectance spectrometers for acquiring reflectance spectra of geologic samples relevant to NASA research efforts. This requires some familiarity with reflectance spectroscopy and operation of laboratory equipment such as vacuum pumps. Some data analyses, as it relates to data processing, will be required. Familiarity with MatLab is preferred. Operation of software packages for controlling various spectrometers will be a part of the day to day responsibilities. Also, upkeep and maintenance of the equipment will be part of the job responsibilities. The relative levels of effort will change as system changes or equipment needs repairing. Otherwise qualified applications who do not posses each of these skill will be considered. Training and initially supervision will be provided.
