About the opportunity SWCA has an exciting new leadership position to build a client facing business practice for environmental, social, governance (ESG) and sustainability services as our Director - ESG & Sustainability. The position will be a national/ companywide role reporting to the Senior Vice President of SWCA's Central/East Region and will be a member of the SWCA Director Team, attending annual leadership conferences, peer group calls, and monthly leadership calls with VPs and Senior Leadership Team. The overall goal is to build ESG and sustainability consulting capability that is profitable and supports the long-term interests of our clients, the company, and the communities in which we live, work and play. This is a full time, regular status position, eligible to work in any of our 37 offices, or 100% distributed in the domestic US. What you will accomplish Technical and External Focus Focus on projects providing ESG and sustainability services for SWCAs' client segments - sustainability strategy, ESG performance, reporting and analytics, impact assessment and sustainability business transformations Provide leadership and expertise in services integral to the development of client ESG and sustainability efforts including in areas such as:
governance and compliance, environmental stewardship, carbon management/climate change and resiliency, resource efficiency (energy, water, waste etc.), stakeholder relations and people programs, relationships with suppliers and communities, and ESG data collection, processing and reporting across recognized frameworks and standards (SASB, TCFD, GRI or similar) Target projects with existing clients that build on existing capabilities, are complimentary to ongoing client support endeavors, or are sought out by clients Manage key client ESG accounts and projects Along with other relevant technical experts within SWCA, lead the development of client proposals to pursue favorable ESG and sustainability outcomes for clients Work with national and regional teams to take advantage of SWCA project efforts to build ESG and sustainability credentials Build partnerships with external organizations to support ESG and sustainability efforts Represent SWCA at regional, state, or local trade groups and conferences Identify key hires or strategic acquisitions to build SWCA's capabilities to deliver ESG and sustainability projects to clients Identify relevant public policy trends, regulatory impacts (environmental, social, operational, and financial) and anticipate emerging challenges that may affect business opportunities Monitor activities of environmental groups' thought leaders and influencers, and other influential external stakeholders Serve as the key point of contact for interfaces with business units, clients, and partners for ESG and Sustainability Work with and manage involvement with outside ESG consultants Provide excellent written and verbal (formal and informal; negotiation; coaching) communication with internal and external stakeholders. Will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Internal Program and Leadership Tasks Work with the SWCA CEO, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and other leaders to set SWCA sustainability goals Provide input to SWCA's yearly sustainability goals Collaborate with internal groups to build ESG and sustainability principles into short and long-range business and operating plans Work with SWCA's Environmental Sustainability Committee to develop and implement our ESG and sustainability business practices Serve as the internal leader and go-to expert for ESG and sustainability, researching emerging trends, programs, and issues, and communicating and educating internal and external stakeholders on relevant topics Build appropriate controls and measurement systems to support SWCAs' ESG & Sustainability practice and measure and monitor progress against performance targets Educate employees and management on ESG and sustainability related topics Provide input on the annual SWCA Environmental, Social and Governance Report Provide discretion in handling proprietary and confidential information both internally and externally. Experience and qualifications for success Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Minimum of 10 years of project management and/or client engagement related experience (stakeholder engagement, planning, policy, environmental). Prior experience in one or more of the firm's core business lines preferable - energy, infrastructure, mining, transportation, carbon management/climate change, or water resources. Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or higher education in Science, Environmental, Geology, Engineering, or Business field. Application of recognized ESG/sustainability frameworks and standards (SASB, TCFD, GRI or similar) Strong understanding of financial value, materiality analyses, sustainability/ ESG externalities and triple bottom line analytics. Relationship building at all levels, including with Senior Leadership. Leadership of diverse teams in complex and ambiguous strategy engagements. Staff development and mentoring experience. Comfort leading presentations, webinars, and workshops with large audiences. Sales and business development with established networks and previous experience building a practice in a new market segment. Thorough knowledge of environmental legislation and relevant regulations. Understanding of the social environment and the existing trends and practices inherent in working with Non-Governmental Organizations. Additional Information:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
