30pmTower's Information Technology (IT) Architect is responsible for managing the definition and development of new and existing systems and application integrations in support of the achievement of Tower's strategic business objectives.
This can include work on virtual and cloud environments as well as traditional hardware and software applications.
The role will also support making information available through solutions that are safe from internal and external threats, reliable, and supportive of Tower's business objectives.
The IT Architect's role is to develop and deliver enterprise-wide technology solutions using common standards where possible, and customized solutions when necessary.
Success is achieved through a strong focus on service delivery that recognizes and values the need for user acceptance on an equal footing with technology outcomes.
The IT Architect position:
Builds and maintains strong working partnership with key service stakeholders.
Translates business requirements into functional requirements from which a solution can then be developed.
Serves as lead in the design of application and infrastructure solutions.
Reviews, analyzes, and recommends technology enhancements based on recognized industry practices.
Manages designs that consider the interoperability of existing IT systems and services.
Proposes solutions that align with business needs, information security practices, business continuity disciplines, and corporate policies.
Documents architecture, workflows, and changes to existing solutions.
Provides and contributes to department project leadership; collaborates with the VP, ITS to set strategy and make architecture decisions.
The IT Architect will act on behalf of the VP, ITS in his/her absence for decisions regarding standards and architecture.
Actively participates in budget and oversight processes by providing information reporting and approved recommendations to Technology Advisory Board (TAB) and IT Steering Committee.
Provides technical guidance and risk mitigation strategies to ITS staff members that includes general knowledge transfer to increase subject matter expertise.
This position reports to the VP, Information & Technology Services (ITS).
Required Skills &
Experience:
Bachelors or Master's degree in Information Systems or related field with seven years relevant work experience.
Without a degree, at least 10 years directly applicable relevant leadership and work experience plus relevant technical certifications (i.
e.
IT Certified Architect, Certified Business Analysis Professional, etc.
)Minimum five years effective experience related to the design of Enterprise IT architecture and implementing standard integration practicesDemonstrated focus on customer-centric solutions that are fueled through technology, in support our membershipPractical experience leveraging common industry practices before turning to custom solutions to deliver foundational servicesExperience designing & rationalizing IT systems of moderate complexity, with organization-wide impactsDeep understanding of technology infrastructure elements:
server, network, telephony, storage, and databasesSolid background with application integration, and information security considerationsExperience documenting complex systems, use cases, and process flows with common tools such as Visio, and other MS Office productsStrong background in virtualization - vmware, VDISystems integration, including with commercial off the shelf security solutions and other vendor softwareDemonstrated success building partnership between the technology organization and business stakeholdersInvolved in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the credit unionAbility to interact effectively with technical and non-technical users at all organizational levelsAbility to present ideas and concepts clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formAbility to write reports, business correspondence and procedures for a diverse audienceHas knowledge of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures and all regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC.

Credit union or financial services experience Experience with Fiserv Nautilus, Spectrum, or DNA software products Planview CTM experience Experience with on-prem and cloud solutions, including migrations to cloud native environments Experience developing solutions for a mixed workforce of on-site and remote users Working Conditions Satisfactory credit history Red Corridor Access (RCA) Security Clearance required as a condition of continued employment Occasional lifting from floor, as well as table height, and transporting of moderately heavy (up to 50 lbs) objects, such as computers and peripherals Ability to travel independently and directly to all TFCU facilities and designated sponsor locations as needed Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and demonstrate sufficient dexterity and vision to operate a variety of office equipment.
Ability to work the hours needed which may extend beyond the defined work schedule when operating conditions dictate.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
