As a Clerical Aide you will:
Work under the direction of a Circulation Supervisor.
Serve as front desk support (e.
g.
answers phones and greets public) and assists with library customers.
Perform routine data entry including entering customer information into the library database.
Serve as a Passport Acceptance Agent where applicable .
Collect customer and passport fees as needed.
Organize and shelve library materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Acts as an ambassador and advocate for the library.
Attends meetings, training, and workshops as assigned.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age and U.
S.
citizens or U.
S.
nationals.
Experience providing (or an understanding of how to provide) excellent customer service.
Good communication skills.
Basic cash handling experience.
Ability to sort material in alphabetic and numeric order.
Ability to shelve 100 books per hour.
Attention to detail, organization, and problem solving skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, electronic databases, e-mail, and internet navigation and office equipment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Constantly positions self reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds.
Work Schedules:
Tuesday 4pm-8pm; Wednesday 4pm-8pm; Saturday 10am-3pm Monday 1pm-6pm; Thursday 1pm-6pm; Saturday 12pm-5pm Additional Information:
