_security_clearanceWe are seeking a Thermal Engineer to help us develop a one-of-a-kind spacecraft.
You will contribute to missions currently under development by the customer, and join a hardworking team of engineers that conceive, develop, analyze, test, launch, and fly spacecraft systems.
Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be thermal modeling and analysis of spacecraft and hardware using the Thermal Desktop software package You will perform thermal model validation and correlation using test and in-flight data You will support thermal design decisions with analysis and calculation You will conduct thermal design trade studies that successfully balance performance margins, resource use, risk, cost, and schedule You will coordinate with all levels of the program and engineering staff on thermal design, analysis, and test matters Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Minimum 3 years of thermal design and analysis experience with demonstrated proficiency using the Thermal Desktop software package
Qualifications:
Master's Degree (MS) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams Have experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or satellite development programs Have experience in thermal modeling of airflow, including forced/natural convection Have experience with Thermal Desktop features such as FloCAD and TD Direct Have experience with CFD software such as ANSYS FLUENT and meshing Recommended Skills Aerospace Manufacturing Ansys Communication Computational Fluid Dynamics Hardworking And Dedicated Satellites Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
