Job Description:
Global International Security is currently hiring a highly qualified CCTV analyst, Alarm Monitoring, and Dispatch specialist for a Public Safety Operations Center in Baltimore, MD.
This is a full-time or Part-Time position with 8 to 10-hour shifts available to cover the center 24/7, including holidays.
The Operator will be responsible for monitoring several screens, observing CCTV cameras and alarms, monitoring access control, gathering information, analyzing data, and providing input on all observations.
The Operator must be able to observe and recognize activity patterns, and coordinate or dispatch appropriate security monitoring measures and response teams.
The ideal candidate should be computer savvy, possess an understanding of criminal justice, and be passionate about observation and analysis, problem-solving, and advising decision-makers.
They must maintain a positive attitude and articulate their thoughts, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise, and professional manner, especially during normal day-to-day operations and times of increased frustration and stress.
Experience:
- Previous experience in CCTV control room is highly desirable - Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information System), Genetec, Axis and intelligence analysis techniques - Knowledge of joint operations and leadership principles - Understanding of CCTV privacy regulations and protocols and data collection
Qualifications:
- Possesses a high level of attention to detail and can maintain focus for extended periods - Exhibits excellent problem-solving skills and can make quick decisions in high-pressure situations - Having at least 3 years of Military or Private CCTV operating experience is preferred, or being a college student pursuing an AS or AA in computer science or criminal justice.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Can work independently as well as part of a team - Possesses proficient computer skills, including knowledge of surveillance software and systems.
