Began training on a new system called E-clinical Works, a new software for electronic medical records for patient flow from checking in to checking out which streamlined the process in a very efficient way. This system is phasing out the software called Medical Manager.

• Handled all aspects of billing for two doctors specializing in Rheumatology and Osteoporosis, and for one doctor whose specialty was for Bone Disease based in Bethesda, Maryland.

• Marked patient’s charges on fee sheets by providers and scanned into the Docuscan system.

• Proofed fee sheets for correct insurance billing information, coding, and billed charges to insurance companies for payment.

• Electronically billed Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and approximately 90% of other insurance companies.

• Posted insurance payments, deductibles, and patient’s co-payments to patient’s account.

• Billed patient’s secondary insurance, if their primary insurance did not crossover automatically.

• Responsible for the timely filing of insurance claims, while tracking and resolving non-payment of claims to ensure deadlines were timely met.
